Is Flawless Gossamer Sunscreen SPF 50 a mineral or chemical sunscreen?

Flawless Gossamer Sunscreen SPF50 is a mineral sunscreen which comes in both a tinted and untinted version to protect and perfect for a healthy glow.

I find that mineral sunscreens tend to work best for those with very sensitive skin and concerns like eczema, perioral dermatitis and rosacea.

How much Flawless Gossamer Sunscreen should I use?

The most important thing with sunscreen is to apply the correct dose. The SPF factor is only guaranteed if you apply enough product and it’s more than you might think! You need 2 milligrams per square centimetre. That translates to a quarter of a teaspoon (or two finger lengths) for the face and a shot glass amount (30ml) for the whole body.

There’s actually a specific dose that’s required to deliver the SPF number on the bottle. We spell this out for you so that you’re in no doubt – because it's really hard to know what “apply generously” actually means, right?

Apply after cleansing, serums and moisturiser but before make-up.

Use the #13dottechnique for an even layer that absorbs into your face (not your hands!) – to achieve SPF50, you need to use 6 pumps for your face and 6 pumps for your neck. Pro-tip to make application even easier, do it in 2 layers: apply 3 pumps, wait a few minutes and then repeat.

Stroke it evenly to cover the area, and allow to dry down onto skin for a flawless, primer-like finish. We recommend a stroking, downwards motion at the temples to ensure even application
