FAQs

What Does an Eye Cream Do?

The skin around your eyes is known to be more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your face. While you might think of eye creams as a glorified moisturiser, the skin around your eyes does need different treatment; it’s all about restoring the function of your skin barrier with specialised ingredients like granactive retinoid.

Where to Apply an Eye Cream?

Our eye creams should be applied above and below the eye, and around the bony orbit of the eye. We suggest doing this with five small dots in a semicircle around the outer eye, starting with half a pump of product.

When to Apply an Eye Cream?

As with any serums, you should start by using Dr Sam’s eye serums every other night, gradually building up to nightly use. If you’re using multiple products, like a combination of our flawless nightly serum and our flawless nightly eye serum, be careful not to let them overlap during application to avoid irritation.

Why Should I Use an Eye Cream?

The skin around the eyes sees more movement because of how often we blink, and from expressions that we show with our eyes. Because of this, this area of skin by your eyes is more prone to fine lines and wrinkles earlier on in life. Find out if an eye cream should be part of your daily routine by using our routine finder.

How to Layer an Eye Cream?

If you’re worried about your eye serum interfering with any other serums you regularly use, simply wait a few minutes between applying products. This will give each one plenty of time to sink into your skin before you go in with the next layer.
